For those of you who wish to send me a thing or two, here are some ideas:

  • Letters (I still think there’s something important to writing your thoughts down. They certainly mean a lot.)
  • Photos of your beautiful faces!
  • Small toys/stickers for kids
  • Used or new books for my students/local libraries
  • Quintessential American Candy
  • Granola bars/Clif bars
  • Baby wipes (anti-bacterial preferably)
  • My Grandma Sugar’s magically thin and delicious Christmas cookies (I can dream, right?)

From what I understand, letters can take about 2 weeks to arrive whereas packages can take a month or two. Since I’m only there for 9 months, letters/emails are really what I would love!
